Inquisitor Vega enters our story before current events on board the revelation.

It was he who first met a younger, more niave Ailee during her final navigator apprenticeship on board the Emperor’s Glory,

where Vega’s investigations into xeno-tech were leading him towards an Explorator named Wilron…

The most expedient way to “recruit” Ailee to his cause was to seduce her, which he found mildly repugnant, due to her existence as a sanctioned mutant. He was surprised that he enjoyed her company, and he certainly found her attractive enough; what he told no one was how exciting it was to flout the rules of his order after so long. Unbeknownst to him, the feelings he experienced first as excitement began to allow other emotions he had long blocked out to creep in slowly. However, before he was swept away by his unexpected desires, the object of his sudden admiration disappeared, leaving the Emperor’s Glory immediately after completing her apprenticeship. Impulsively, he followed her to Malfi, her homeworld, wanting to know why she had left without a word.

Donnell, as he is currently known, resides in his own comfortable quarters, a guest on board the Revelation. To those few who know of his previous calling, he insists that he remains “On VACATION!”
